Tom Bevan - Co-founder & Executive Editor, Real Clear Politics

Tom Bevan is co-founder & Executive Editor of RealClearPolitics. Since its launch in August of 2000, RCP has grown into one of the most widely read and well respected independent political sites on the Internet, reaching an audience of more than one million readers each month.

In addition to writing features and a popular blog for RealClearPolitics, Tom's work has also appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, The New York Sun and The Arizona Republic. Tom has appeared as a political analyst on a number of national radio and television shows including FNC's Hannity & Colmes, CNBC's Kudlow & Company, the BBC's Worldview, and C-Span's Washington Journal, among others.

Tom earned a B.A. in History from Princeton University. Prior to launching RealClearPolitics, Tom worked for nearly a decade in the advertising and communications industry. He currently lives in Evanston, Illinois with his wife and three children.


Roger Simon - Co-founder & CEO, Pajamas Media

As well as being CEO and co-founder of Pajamas Media – a news and opinion aggregation of nearly100 weblogs - Roger L. Simon is the author of ten novels, including the prize-winning Moses Wine detective series.  He is also the screenwriter of six major motion pictures, including "The Big Fix," "'Bustin' Loose," "Scenes from a Mall," and "Enemies, A Love Story," for which he was nominated for an Academy Award.  Simon has written for many mainstream media outlets, among them "The New York Times," "The Los Angeles Times" and the "Washington Post."  He has also served as West Coast President of PEN - the international writers' and human rights organization - and on the Board of Directors of the Writers Guild of America.  He is currently writing his first non-fiction book "Blacklisting Myself: Memoirs of a Hollywood Apostate in an Age of Terror" to be published by Encounter Books in January 2009.


Neal Gorenflo - Vice President, FAS.research

Neal Gorenflo is an expert on the use of social network analysis in business, politics and philanthropy and a thought leader in networked industries.  He has written or presented about social networking, the Internet, wireless telecommunications, or network strategies for the United Nations, the Federal Communications Commission, the Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet, the Telecommunications Policy Research Conference, and others.

As Vice President of FAS.research, Neal helps leaders design scalable, high ROI campaigns and change strategies using the science of social network analysis.  FAS’ proprietary data mining technologies, social network visualizations, and planning methodologies enable leaders to find the shortest path to breakthrough performance.

Prior to FAS, Neal was the Director of Business Development for Care2, a social network with over 8 million members.  While at Care2, Neal helped leading nonprofits design online advocacy campaigns and created strategic partnerships with other online media companies.  This followed stints as a researcher and strategist in the transportation, investment banking, and wireless industries advising Fortune 500 executives.  As a strategist for DHL, Neal wrote business plans for industry verticals worth $1 billion annually and helped design a $4 billion global sales organization.

Neal earned an M.A. with honors from Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture & Technology program and a B.A. with honors in American Studies and English Literature from George Mason University. 

Neal serves on the Board of Directors of Forest Ethics, a forest protection nonprofit, and Independent Arts & Media, which promotes a culture of democracy.    Neal lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife Andrea, a pediatrician and public health advocate.
