Who is eligible to participate?
To be eligible, you must have used the Internet to try to influence the political process (i.e. for an electoral campaign, political party, official ballot, issue campaign, etc.). Nominees must have campaigned or conducted advocacy online.
What are the dates of eligibility?
January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007.
Can individuals enter?
Nominations may be made for any participant or group of participants in an online campaign (i.e., Webmasters, consultants, managers, staff, spokespersons, writers, producers, and designers). One representative for each nominated Web site should be designated on the nomination form as the person to be invited to claim the award. In the event several individuals and/or firms are responsible for the success of the campaign, the entire group will be awarded the Golden Dot Award.

Yes.
When is the deadline for nominations?
5:00 PM, EST on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.
How will the judging take place?
Golden Dots will be awarded by popular vote. Voting will take place in February 2008.
When will the awards be presented?
The awards will be presented at the Politics Online Conference. Please check the agenda for further information.
What do the winners receive?
The winners receive a personalized trophy and use of the Golden Dot Awards 2008 winners' logo, which winners may post on their web site.

How do I enter?
Fill in the online nomination form here.
Do I need to submit any additional materials with my nomination?
All nominations must include:
- A completed nomination form.
- An essay of up to 500 words in support of the nomination and that addresses the criteria in each award category.
- The online materials (Web site, video, animation, podcast, etc.) to be considered for the award.
- Appropriate documentation.
The online materials and documentation must be made available through the provision of ready access to an online location from the day of submission through April 1, 2007.
