In 2008, for the first time ever, the Golden Dot Awards will be awarded based on popular vote.

JUDGINGCRITERIA

The shortlist ofnominees for each Golden Dot category will be determined by the staffof the Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet.

Award winners will bedetermined based on an online poll conducted through IPDI’swebsite. The voting period will take place throughout the month ofFebruary and will be promoted both on the website and through emailsto attendants of the Politics Online Conference. It is not necessaryto excel in all the criteria for an award in order to win. Entrantsshould describe their achievements in terms of as many criteria asthey think apply.
